In this workshop, attendees will collaborate with Mike, an experienced blacksmith, to forge a functional coat hook in the shape of a feather, which will be theirs to take home. Participants will have the opportunity to wield the hammer and manage the bellows if they choose. The workshop lasts approximately one hour. Safety is of utmost importance; we supply all essential safety equipment, including eye protection, leather aprons, and gloves. It is required for all participants to wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts, and closed-toe footwear.
Here at True Serendipity Homestead, we have decided to put the 50 plus years of life experience to good use by making available, our art and skills, by teaching others what we have learned. Michael offers workshops on blacksmithing and milling lumber using a small Wood Mizer bandsaw mill that is great for the beginning homesteader!
We also offer campsites around our private pond through a company called Hipcamp and also Airbnb.
